The Batavia Sea Devils are an age-group swim team that competes in the Rochester Area YMCA Swim League. In addition to league meets, individuals who meet the qualifying standards compete in the New York State YMCA Championships, theYMCA Short and Long Course National Championshipsas well as other selected meets.
All team members must be members in
good standing of the GLOW YMCA.

2010-2011Swim Team
September 20th-January 30th
Free 1 week trial: Anyone new to the program will be aloud to try the team for one week before making the commitment to join. This will allow prospective swimmers to participate in practices and get to know the coaches and their teammates and determine if the Sea Devils are right for them.
Practices: Monday-Friday 4:00-5:30pm, the Friday prior to meets is the only mandatory day of practice.
Please note: There are no maximum requirments for practices; however swimmers are required to attend 3 practices a week. 11 and older swimmers are encouraged to attend 4-5 practices a week.
Program Cost:
$220 for full swimmers (non-high school swim team participants.)
$170 for High School swimmers who compete in the fall season for a H.S. swim team.
$110 for High School swimmers who compete in the winter season for H.S. swim team.
All payments must be made prior to the first practice. Swimmers may register at the front desk of the YMCA. There is a 10% second child discount and financial assistance for those who meet the requirements. A swimmer must be a current member of the GLOW YMCA to compete in meets for the Sea Devils.
Meets: Meets will take place throughout the season on Saturday. Once a meet schedule is finalized it will be avaliable to swimmers and parents. Meets are optional during the summer. You may attend whatever meets you choose to.
During the season all dual meets mandatory; if swimmers are unable to attend a meet please notify the coaching staff ASAP, they finalize the meet line-up the Thursday pror to the meet.
Invitational swim meets are optional to attend, there is usually entry fees to attend these meets.
All swimmers must attend at least 4 dual meets in order to participate in our district and state championships.
Events: Spaghetti dinners, bowling, fun night, banquet etc.
