The Wyoming County YMCA believes that families are an important part of our community, so it is important for the YMCA to nurture and support strong families. We are proud to offer this essential service to our Family Members. Prime Time is designed to enable your whole family to use the YMCA at the same time.

Prime Time is more than just babysitting ... we offer structured activities that involve children in arts & crafts, story time, games, puzzles, and other interactive play.

Prime Time General Guidelines
Children ages 6 weeks—12 yrs old may participate
We suggest that when using Prime Time for the first time, parents visit and play with their child for about twenty minutes before leaving. This is an especially important for the parent of a young child. This play time will make the child, and parent, more comfortable with the Prime Time staff and surroundings.

We recommend the following time guidelines:
 6 weeks to 1 year = 45 minutes
 1 year and over = 1.5 hours
We ask that you limit Prime Time to a maximum of 1.5 hours each day.

For the child’s safety, parents must remain in the building.
To use Prime Time:
  1. Get Prime Time Pass from front desk at check-in
  2. Fill out Check in sheet .
  3. Place your child’s belongings in a cubby.
  4. When picking up your child sign out on sheet.

All children entering the maze must take their shoes off, and must be wearing socks.
Prime Time staff will not change diapers, so please arrive with a clean diaper
Children are not allowed to eat in Prime Time, with the exception of bottles and non-spill “sippy” cups.
Please leave games and toys at home or in the car.

For your information
IF...your child has difficulty adjusting to Prime Time, we will make an effort to calm them. We will ask parents to tend to their child if the difficulty persists longer the 10 minutes.
IF… your child is ill with a cold, cough, fever, or runny nose please keep your child at home. If your child develops a communicable disease and has participated in Prime Time recently, please notify staff immediately.
IF… your child displays unacceptable behavior, they will receive an age appropriate time out. The staff will inform the parent if a situation occurs and will work with you to prevent future incidents.

IF ... your child is attending a YMCA program while you are exercising, the Prime Time staff will escort your child to and from activities.  Just notify the staff when this is necessary.

 Prime Time Xtreme

Something different for children 9-12 years old, PTX offers activities such as rock wall, sports tourneys, Guitar Hero competitions, DDR, and nearly anything else the kids can think of that's appropriate. This "club" gives kids the freedom to help make their own schedule which builds confidence and teaches responsibility.
